Evgenia Arbugaeva is a photographer and an Academy Award-nominated filmmaker who grew up in the seaport town Tiksi on the shore of the Laptev Sea in Siberia and is now based in London, UK. In her personal work she often looks into her homeland – the Arctic, discovering and capturing the remote worlds and people who inhabit them.

Evgenia is a recipient of the ICP Infinity Award and Leica Oskar Barnack Award. She is a National Geographic Society Fellow. Her work has been exhibited internationally, is part of museum collections worldwide, and appeared in publications such as The New Yorker, Time and National Geographic magazines, among many others. She is represented by the Photographers’ Gallery in London and In Camera Gallery in Paris.
